Essentials UI
So I keep using the same Rainmeter skins, apparently. I'm currently studying an MA course in which I focus on developing on Augmented Reality interfaces and the UX of such a computer. I want to transfer my basic minimal approach from the 2D screen to something fitting the 3D holographic interfaces proposed by HoloLens, Meta 2 and other devices.

I wonder if it's even compatible...

The skins used are:
- Timewords by jsmorley
- Encoded by ~lilshizzy
- Social Launcher by ~twistlemon
Wallpaper comes from Facets

I've attempted at making a Rainmeter installer, but having had bad experiences with it before, I would advise some backup of your current theme before running it, should choose to replicate it.

Black Sand UI
A very simple setup fit for the darkness of winter, focused on essential needs and nothing more - I personally use a lot of shortcuts for my interaction and aim for not having to see the Windows Taskbar during my UI navigation. This theme allows me access to Chrome, the Downloads and OneDrive folders on the computer (and everything else is of course within reach from those folders via Explorer) and the 'Make' element opens up Adobe Creative Cloud for me to access all the creative apps. Lastly, for my creative endeavours, it is quite nice to know how much RAM and CPU I am using, thus those meters underneath the battery.

Rainmeter skin credits go to:
The Enigma suite by ~Kaelri
The Omnimo team for the black box backdrop and battery meter
Simple Clean by ~HipHopium for the time and date skin
The wallpaper does not have any explicit author, unfortunately, but I basically set up the UI around the content of the picture.

Buoyant UI
Here's a pretty simple and clean Rainmeter theme, but as a bonus I decided to this time add some fiction to the theme. I have created an animated opening sequence in order to showcase how I imagine future OS'es might look, feel and function.
// It's still a work in progress but if this has your interest or if you're simply interested in replicating the theme as shown above, please visit my project on Behance

Update
Thank you to Lifehacker for featuring the theme!

I dream of becoming a game developer one day and love graphical art and design which I think is sometimes displayed through my photography. I tend to slightly alter most of my photos just to make the lighting look as I find it the most beautiful, but some photos simply inspire me to run them through Photoshop and find some artistic filtering that matches the original shot in a great way (like the manga page in my gallery). So I guess you could call me a semi experimental amateur photographer of sorts :P

Current Residence: Sjælland, Denmark
Favourite genre of music: Rock, Alt. rock, Electro-rock and Electronic along a few pop/pop-rock musicians
Favourite style of art: Photography (especially light manipulation)
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate
Wallpaper of choice: I constantly change my backgrounds by how I feel at the moment - they vary between my own best photographs and wallpapers I find on sites like Interfacelift, Dizorb and WallpapersWide
Rainmeter skins: I love Omnimo and Enigma a lot ^_^
Favourite comic book hero: Batman

Since I read a book by a Danish camera enthusiast I have learned a few new ways to get some good photographs and along with my new camera I feel very energetic and are just stressing to get out whenever the wheather feels like giving me opportunities. My only reason for not being outside all the time is for the most that the vegetation in Denmark are kind of slow at blooming. As it is shown through my pictures here in April it is slowly coming to the 100% and only the biggest trees still lack leaves. So I'll keep on going close to the flowers wishing for a Macro lens to appear from the thin air - I'll probably just have to cough up the large amount of money because after shooting all these Spring photos I can see how great possibilities a Macro lens would give me that my all-round one, that came with the camera, simply can't capture.

I will keep on using the new tips I have learned and try to impress anyone who appreciates my pictures :)

  • Listening to: Massive Attack, The Dead Weather and Trentem&oslas
  • Reading: Nothing really :P
  • Watching: Lost - seasons 1-5
  • Playing: Splinter Cell: Conviction and Battlefield
  • Eating: Ice cream :D
  • Drinking: Tuborg Beer and tea with mango taste
